We collect information that you provide directly, information generated during trips, and information from third parties that help us verify identities, prevent fraud, and operate Wheelbase.

• Account details such as name, email, phone number, and profile photo.
• Government IDs, driver’s license images, and date of birth for verification.
• Vehicle data, trip photos, and communications between Hosts and Guests.
• Payment information (via PCI-compliant processors) and payout preferences for Hosts.
• Device and usage data including IP address, app performance data, and cookies on the web experience.

• Operate and personalize the Platform, including listings and trip search.
• Facilitate payments, payouts, deposits, insurance, and customer support.
• Conduct safety screenings, compliance checks, and investigations into suspected fraud or abuse.
• Send transactional communications (trip updates, receipts) and product updates you opt in to receive.
• Perform analytics to improve reliability, pricing, and user experience.

We share information only when needed to deliver the Platform or when we are legally required to do so.

• Between Hosts and Guests to complete a booking (names, trip details).
• With service providers such as identity verification partners, payment processors, cloud hosting, customer support tools, and insurers.
• With authorities or law enforcement when required by law or to protect Wheelbase, our community, or the public.
• During a business transfer (merger, acquisition) subject to safeguards.

You can manage your information from account settings or by contacting us:

• Update profile information, documents, vehicles, and payout methods.
• Control which marketing emails or push notifications you receive.
• Request a copy of your data or ask us to delete it where legally allowed.
• Opt out of automated decision making where applicable.

Wheelbase uses industry-standard safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, strict access controls, and security reviews of our infrastructure and vendors. No system is entirely immune, so we encourage you to use strong passwords and keep your devices secure.

• We retain information for as long as necessary to run Wheelbase safely.
• Parents or guardians must provide consent for users below the age threshold permitted in their region.
• We may transfer information to countries where our vendors are located; safeguards like Standard Contractual Clauses apply.

We update this policy when we launch new features or when regulations change. We will post the updated version here and update the “Last updated” date. We may also notify you via email or in-app when the changes are significant.
